The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) serves as the regulatory and developmental authority for the early childhood (EC) sector in Singapore, overseeing key aspects of children’s development below the age of 7, across both kindergartens and childcare centres. ECDA is an autonomous agency jointly overseen by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), and is hosted under the Ministry of Social and Family Development. The Child Development Department in ECDA drives initiatives to support development of young children, including those from low-income families. The department has two branches, the Programme Planning Branch and the Data & Evaluation Branch.

**What you will be working on**
- As an Early Childhood Officer in the Data & Evaluation Branch, you will work closely with divisions within the Ministry, the KidSTART Programme Office, other government departments and preschools to plan and execute data projects to support research and data analysis to enable policy reviews impacting families and their children. - Assist with the development and implementation of ECDA’s data strategy, in line with MSF’s data strategy and data governance policies - Implement and review ECDA’s data framework and guidelines, in line with MSF’s data strategy and data governance policies - Engage stakeholders to craft data projects to address problem statements and business needs - Work with relevant departments to ensure secure and seamless sharing of data into ECDA’s Datamart - Establish data sharing agreements with external agencies and other government agencies to acquire datasets to support research and data reporting/analysis - Undertake any other additional tasks and duties as assigned

**What we are looking for**
- Relevant tertiary qualification (E.g. Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Business analytics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines with strong quantitative skills) - An openness to take on new challenges and readiness to handle various projects at the same time - Ability to analyse, interpret, and package information for the purpose of reporting - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc) and ability to use analytics software will be given due consideration - Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant working experience
