The Technician role supports the audio department in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient use of The Star Performing Arts Centre’s facilities and resources.

**The Key Roles are**:

- Ensure proper production policies, procedures and processes pertaining to the audio dept.
- Assist Senior Technician (Audio) in maintenance and inventory processes for audio equipment and systems
- Operate shows as technician, system technician or system engineer
- Provide on ground technical expertise for events.
- Maintain and upkeep the audio systems, infrastructure, inventory, and audio stores in the venue.
- Assist Senior Technician, Audio in implementing inventory replacements and upgrades
- Ensure successful operation of shows and provide suitable support to incoming engineers on a show basis in role as system technician when required
- Provide appropriate mixes based on show requirements in role as system engineer when required
- Work alongside and provide support to the casual staff in problem solving and changes in show requirements.
- Be vigilant and look out for hazardous conditions, practices or equipment and take appropriate action
- Any other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- At least One (1) year of technical support for audio in auditorium and multi
- purpose audio visual facilities required.
- Experience in providing event technical support for audio
- Vendor management for break fix or systems integration for audio visual facilities would be advantageous
- Experience in crew management and On-the-Job crew training
- Experience with L-acoustics speaker DSP, Riedel intercoms and Nexus and BSS routing systems programming, management, and operations
- Possess good customer service skills
