**Job Description**:
The VP, Group Purchasing serves as the Food Group Procurement executive for feed and milling business. He/She supports the FVP, Purchasing Director in defining and delivering the 3rd Party Global Sourcing and risk management strategy for the procurement of key commodities, such as corn, wheat and soybean meal, which account for the majority of feed costs.

He/She is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the purchasing process within the organization which involves setting purchasing procedures and policies, managing purchasing budgets, and overall management of purchasing processes.

The VP, Group Purchasing works closely with the Country Purchasing team and Abaqa Purchasing team, to ensure purchasing policies and procedures are in place. He/She also needs to develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and contract management to deliver best-in-class delivery of goods by the supply base.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent.
- Desirable: Master of Business Administration or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).

**Experiences**
- At least 15 years of general purchasing experience, and 5 years of regional experience holding leadership roles in commodity buying/trading.
- Experience in purchasing agricultural feed ingredients and additives preferably gained within an end-user environment.
- Experience managing complex global procurement responsibilities, using a strategic sourcing methodology, including opportunity analysis and identification, supplier selection, risk and compliance evaluation, contract negotiation, and financial analysis, using an ERP system
- Profound knowledge of the requirements for best-in-class purchasing capabilities in commodity buying and a strong expertise and credibility in all areas of purchasing. This includes risk management, understanding of market dynamics and the concept of price discovery.
- Has the agility working in a multicultural organization with stakeholders across multiple sites.
