The Role
The Sr Director, Human Resources serves as the senior leader for all HR matters across the APAC region which requires the individual to possess an in-depth understanding of the business and be comfortable challenging the status quo. Through strong leadership and management of the APAC HR team, and in partnership with the global HR team, the individual will assume the ownership and effectiveness of our performance, talent, engagement, culture, hiring and compliance activities for the region.
Your Impact
- Manage and lead a high performing and engaged team of HR professionals in the region.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner and advisor to APAC senior leaders and their teams.
- Translate and implement defined human resources strategies and programs into regionally/locally applicable action plans and ensure compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirements in alignment with overall business plans and priorities.
- Ensure effective communication of human resource practices, processes, and programs. Support corporate talent management initiatives (e.g. succession planning).
- Coach and counsel managers. Provide tools and guidance that enable effective leadership.
- Recommend and implement employee relations programs to foster a positive employee/employer relationship and promote high level of employee morale, productivity, and engagement.
- Collaborate with COEs (Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Comp/Ben, HRIS) to develop and implement programs, policies and practices that serve the corporation’s objectives.
- Drive operational excellence with consistent HR processes and policies or enhancements that support the business and complies with local regulations and corporate requirements. Maintain solid understanding of regional employment law matters, partnering with Corporate HR and Legal to maintain compliance.
- Ensure that employee concerns or matters of compliance are resolved with local employment laws and culture.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 15 years of HR experience with at least 8 years at executive level and working in a global technology environment.
- Solid APAC functional knowledge in local code, benefits and employee relations.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Detail oriented with an ability to act and thrive in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment.
- Dynamic and hands-on individual with strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills. Good command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in additional languages are preferred.
- University degree required. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Up to 20% travel, including International.
