**Senior Vice President, Marine Specialty, Asia**

**What can you expect?**

Reporting to the Marine Specialties Leader, Asia, this role will be the Subject Matter Expert to support the Marine teams across the region. They will be the primary handler on major shipping accounts and take responsibility for the Asia Marine Placement Strategy in conjunction with other country Marsh offices within the region.

**We will count on you to**:

- Be the primary client facing person for major shipping clients
- Support the Marine Leader with clients’ Hull and War insurance requirements and facilitate optimum placement into the Singapore market
- Support the Marine Leader in reviewing the client's exposures and loss experience against current types of coverage and analyze the risks to determine the products and service required
- In conjunction with the Marine Leader, develop a marketing and placement strategy plan in response to client needs
- Support in-Country Marine Leaders in the execution of their marine hull marketing and placement business plan
- Receive and evaluate quotes from the carrier and presents a recommendation to CE and DE or the client directly as appropriate.
- Upon client acceptance, binds coverage with the carrier and issues appropriate documents.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for clients as and when required.
- Support the Marine Leader in keeping abreast of changing market conditions and inform client executives, carriers, brokers and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage.
- Manage training and development seminars and initiatives to enable the continued development of skills within the Marine Specialty organization across Asia.
- Identify the need for new products and providing insights & input on potential solutions to brokers and/or carriers.
- Develop skills to provide technical advice and assistance in the production and placement of Marine Hull accounts across Marsh Asia offices.

**What you need to have**:

- Diploma/Degree in insurance or equivalent
- Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII)
- At least 17 years in general insurance industry
- Resourceful and able to work independently
- Highly experienced in the Marine market in Singapore, overseas experience is preferred
