The Vetting Specialist is responsible for compliance and the implementation of Ampol vetting criteria for voyage and time-chartered ships. You will be responsible for vessel clearance/screening process for vessels proposed for Ampol/Caltex business. You will provide 24x7 support to chartering and the Cargo Operations department in ship screening/clearance process with minimum delay.

**You’ll take us further by**
- Maintaining vessel clearance and terminal vetting system for Ampol/Caltex Australia.
- Developing, reviewing and controlling Ampol marine specific operations procedures and policies.
- Managing safety audits, inspection and qualification of Ampol-controlled tanker vessels, barges and load / discharge ports related to Ampol’s Trading and Shipping business.
- Monitoring the operational, environmental and safety performance of Ampol time charter vessels, and supporting the shipping team in cost management.
- Being a part of the emergency management team as a backup for the Marine Manager for any marine incidents in international waters for Ampol/Caltex chartered vessels.
- Providing on-call 24x7 support to discuss and resolve vessel clearance issues and incidents.

You will more than 3 years of shore based experience managing Vessel operations / Marine Assurance experience. You must have Oil/Chemical tanker experience with at least 5 years of service on board tankers out of which 2 years must be as senior ship board officer. You must have strong communications and collaboration skills and able to work autonomously.
