**Industrialization & Process Innovation Assistant Engineer (Powder), Singapore**:

- As an IPI Assistant Engineer, you will be responsible to perform a wide array of process scale-up and laboratory testing overseeing the end-to-end process from New Product Development (NDP) to Product Commercialization. With the guidance of our IPI Engineers and Manager, you will be trained to perform Pilot scale spray drying and functionality tests for powder products. You will also be involved in continuous process improvement activities in Symrise to better the Safety, Quality and Productivity. Furthermore, you will gain great exposure to various challenging yet exciting improvement projects in a highly collaborative working environment with supportive colleagues here at Symrise Asia Pacific. You will be reporting directly to IPI Manager, Powder._
**The Position**:

- Assist IPI Engineers in the evaluation and development of new processes or new technologies to develop new range of products and/or to improve the performance of our present product portfolio.
- Assist IPI Engineers in their respective process/ product optimization projects.
- Strong daily presence in the field to carry out scale up tests in laboratory/ Pilot plant and support to manufacturing activity.
- Perform laboratory analyses and keep track of Preventive Maintenance schedule for all laboratory & Pilot plant equipment.
- Schedule routine chemical waste disposal for laboratory and Pilot plant.
- Supervise and coach Production operators during first production with new working instructions.
- Support quality deviation investigation in manufacture.
- Assist IPI Engineer in scheduling scale up testing/trials.
- Perform raw materials collection from Production/warehouse for testing/trials
- ITE/Diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Food Science/Food Technology/ Pharmaceutical or equivalent with 1- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified is an added advantage.
- Prior hands-on working experience with Dry Blending or Spray Drying is an added advantage.
- Strong ability to work well in a team with supervision/guidance provided.
- Basic IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
