[What the role is]

LEGAL COUNSEL (LEGAL CORPORATE & PUBLIC TRANSPORT REGULATION & LICENSING)

[What you will be working on]

This Legal division provides legal services to LTA policy and operations division engaging in a diverse spectrum of land transport matters including corporate commercial matters and the regulation of rail and bus transport operators.

You will be part of a team of dynamic lawyers working on a wide and diverse range of exciting commercial and public transport regulatory and licensing matters of national and public importance and interest to deliver creative and workable solutions, committed to transforming the future of mobility for all Singaporeans. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where your contributions will directly impact the growth of Singapore’s public transport sector.

You will work closely with LTA’s corporate, policy and operations divisions to advise on policies that are being formulated and work with them to achieve the intended outcome, through leveraging on existing regulatory powers. You will be required to research, prepare and render opinions, draft and review contracts and other legal documents, advise on general corporate commercial matters including employment law, financial agreements, intellectual property law, data protection and governance matters, and other matters relating to LTA’s contractual risks and obligations, ensuring the smooth execution of corporate initiatives, and alignment and integration of corporate objectives.

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Law (LLB)
- At least 2 years of work experience in handling legal issues related to regulatory matters and/or commercial matters, or a strong commitment to developing skill-sets in that area
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and a team player
- Strong interest in issues related to corporate commercial, public transportation and regulatory matters
- In-house experience or public sector experience will be an advantage
