[What the role is]

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore’s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore - banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. **[What you will be working on]**

The Fintech Infrastructure Office (FIO) is responsible for ideation, strategies, co-leadership and stakeholder engagement for developing safe and efficient technology enabled infrastructures for the financial sector. The Officer will have opportunities to participate in strategic projects for establishing industry-wide technology enabled infrastructure.

In this position, you will need to:

- Engage with external parties in public and private sector, both financial and trade, to further Singapore’s International Financial Sector objectives and projects
- Monitor international and domestic trends and developments in technology enabled infrastructure, network developments and assess their impact on Singapore’s financial sector;
- Identify opportunities and risks in existing and potential technology enabled infrastructure for Singapore;
- Formulate policies and strategies, as well as drive initiatives to engender the safe and efficient adoption and use of digital infrastructures in the financial sector;
- Actively engage with stakeholders to drive new and innovative ecosystem and platform initiatives to aid Singapore’s financial sector.

**[What we are looking for]**
- Conversant in trade flows, including from Singapore industry as well as with Asia and/or Africa
- Understanding and interest in evolving solutions and trends of new technology in the financial sector
- Innovative, motivated, and independent
- Confident and competent in dealing with financial industry practitioners and other professionals
- Related project management experience in technology startups, leading financial technology firms and technology venture capital companies will also be an advantage.
- You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
