**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Job title: Duty Manager (Baggage)
Reporting to: Baggage Manager (HOD)
Grade: GE 5
**Overall Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Baggage Manager (HOD), you are responsible to supervise baggage operations and provide support to the Baggage Service Crew
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure staff are properly deployed at the departure racetracks, arrival belts and transfer line according to the ETAs and STDs
- Attend to any telexes which are sensitive in nature and which require immediate attention (Retagging, Rush Tags, NTLs, Transfer Bags)
- Investigate and raise reports on all accidents/incidents concerning Baggage Unit’s staff and equipment
- Investigate delays, mishandling, discrepancies, complaints flight omission and (or) any flights related irregularity
- Ensure all Baggage Unit’s equipment’s are properly maintained and records accurately logged
- Provide monthly data for all Airlines handled for Total Baggage Count and mishandling data for BSE reporting to management
- Control and raise staff overtime (OT) in TAMs, Change-Duty Application and Staff Transport arrangements if any
- Enforce staff discipline and deals with staff issues
- Monitor and supervise the workflow of the overall Baggage Operations in T4
- Ensure that all staff complies with the company safety and regulations
- Perform any other related duty for which he is detailed to do so by his superior
