PURPOSE

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Gather business needs and determine appropriate data, reports and analytics solution to support business decision making- Identify and analyse data to be used (e.g. how data is capture, how they are transformed and stored in database); where new data is required, assist the business data analyst to identify the data, to update the data model and the data dictionary, to design data mart and to ensure consistency of information across downstream data consumption- Manage and maintain daily operation of business intelligence tools- Identify and deliver improvements on the data model and business intelligence reporting- Assist in managing stakeholders in terms of report, change requests & project delivery- Work closely with data engineering team by providing clarification on ETL requirements and issue investigation for data related defects- Ensure that periodic reports and visualisations are made available/circulated timely and accurately- Support strategic initiatives with ad-hoc data analyses- Continuously development the company’s Single Customer View by enriching it with featured information, internal and external customer attributes, predictive scores to better develop/segment our products and services- Develop data literacy and data consumption e.g. by sharing industry best practice with users, providing training, monitoring report usage, conducting POC with alternative tools/solutions

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE- Degree in business management, statistics, mathematics, computer science, econometrics and other related fields- Minimum 4 years of working experience- Hands-on experience related to the key accountabilities and in the dynamics of insurance business is a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY- Hands-on experience in preparing, combining and transforming data to build target dataset using at least on programming language (e.g. R, SQL, SAS, Python)- Experience producing dashboards with an Enterprise Visualisation tool (e.g. QlikSense, NPrinting, Tableau, PowerBI)- Good understanding of data science; experience in building a data science model and deploying it is a plus
