As a Buyer, you will be responsible in purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. You will ensure purchasing activities are align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures and ensure continuity of supply and company operation for Process Automation - Process Control Platform Division of ABB. Reporting to the Planning & Fulfillment Manager, the position is based in Singapore.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
- Efficiently and accurately monitoring all open purchase orders status and follow up.
- Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing. Ensure all incoming deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products. Coordinate with planners, customer support, warehouse as required.
- Building, maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers and keep up good communication.
- Managing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance, and resolves performance issues if any.
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
- Conducting all purchase activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures.

**Your background**:

- Degree holder with minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing, supply chain management experience is a plus.
- Proficient in SAP and MS excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team working aptitude and problem solving.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills.
