COMPANY DESCRIPTION
**THK**MC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. **THK**MC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. **THK**MC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
DESIGNATION : Volunteer Executive (1-year Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Volunteer Executive plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing volunteer programs and initiatives within the organization. They are responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, as well as overseeing volunteer activities to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and goals. The Volunteer Executive also serves as a liaison between volunteers, staff, and external stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative volunteer experience.
**Responsibilities**:
1.** Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding**:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract volunteers from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
- Conduct interviews, orientations, and training sessions for new volunteers.
- Maintain volunteer records and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
2. **Volunteer Coordination and Support**:
- Assign volunteers to appropriate roles and projects based on their skills, interests, and availability.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and supervision to volunteers, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to succeed in their roles.
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations with volunteers to provide feedback, recognize achievements, and address any concerns or issues.
3**. Program Development and Management**:
- Collaborate with staffs and volunteers to identify volunteer needs and opportunities across various programs and projects.
- Plan, organize, and execute volunteer events, workshops, and recognition programs to engage and motivate volunteers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs and initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Develop and implement volunteer program policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with organizational standards.
4. **Community Engagement and Partnerships**:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders to expand volunteer recruitment efforts and enhance program outcomes.
- Represent the organization at community events, networking meetings, and volunteer fairs to promote volunteer opportunities and raise awareness of the organization's mission and impact.
5.** Administrative and Reporting Tasks**:
- Maintain accurate records and databases of volunteer information, hours, and activities, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate volunteer program activities, achievements, and impact to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage volunteer-related administrative tasks, such as scheduling, tracking volunteer hours, and managing volunteer-related budgets and expenses. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to volunteer management and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in social work, nonprofit management, human resources, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or related roles.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites Passion for serving the community and making a positive difference in people's lives.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for volunteer events and activities.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel to off-site locations. (Preferred but not mandatory)
