The Product Manager, Ophthalmology (Digital Workflow and Software Platform) is responsible to drive the product definition and development process of new Leica Medical software and related computer hardware platform. S/he is tasked to identify and develop new disruptive technologies to cover the demand of future digital workflows based on artificial intelligence and other self-learning algorithms. This position is furthermore responsible to ensure the integration of the utilized digital sensors and hardware into new and existing software platforms in cooperation with R&D team and technology partners.
The responsibility will also include the definition and quantification of business opportunities as well as the derivation of the strategic direction for the product development. Working with Ophthalmology Imaging Platform Product Manager, and OCT Product Manager to manage the Advisory Board and Open Innovation Partners completes the job specification of the position.
**REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION**
a) Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in Product Management, Sales or Marketing in life science, medical or imaging software industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading innovation project
b) Education
- Master / Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Preferred: MBA
