Singapore LINKLATERS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

Our Asia TMT practice is hubbed out of our Singapore office. The team currently consists of four dedicated fee earners: one Partner and two Managing Associates.

The practice supports clients across a range of sectors on legal issues arising from their use of technology. The practice provides a range of products, primarily: (i) technology transactions (e.g., data sharing and analytics, technology procurement and build, outsourcing, service arrangements); (ii) advisory (e.g., data privacy, cybersecurity); and (iii) transaction support (e.g., technology or IP due diligence, TSAs and licences as part of M&A deals).

The practice is a regional practice and, from its hub in Singapore, provides support to the firm’s network and clients across the Asia region. In the past months, the practice has worked across all the firm’s Asian offices. The team has developed a network of, and works closely with, lawyers in our Asian offices on local regulatory issues.

We are looking for an experienced Associate to join our Asia TMT team based in Singapore.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Draft and review documentation, demonstrate familiarity with precedents and market standards;
- Provide commercial and legal advice to the client;
- Supervise team and demonstrate control through effective control;
- Network with clients to capitalize on new business opportunities.
- To succeed in this Associate (TMT) role, you should be able to contribute to knowhow, communicate assertively when under pressure and be a proactive team player.

**Key Requirements**:

- Excellent academic credentials
- Singapore bar admission
- 1-2 years PQE (UK scale)
- Strong TMT foundation and be a self-starter with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build a team around him or her
- Strong networking and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Chinese language skills would be a bonus
