**Product Development Chemist**

The Product Development Chemist transforms strategy of business development team into a commercial product that can be manufactured at a reasonable cost. He/She conducts research from the small quantities created in the research lab and develop them into larger quantities for commercial production. He/She develops guidelines that are safe, cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and efficient. He/She manages the process development of products. He/She often works and support the business development team.

**Job Description**:

- Developing new product lines based on customer feedback or market demand trends
- Conduct research and development work on new product and improving existing product.
- Sourcing and evaluating for new raw material for new product and improving existing product.
- Manage all phases of product & process development from lab to full scale manufacturing of products.
- Communicating with other company departments such as marketing and engineering to exchange information about product development progress
- Support the commercial team in technical aspect of the new product.
- Handling customer complaint on technical issues and trouble-shooting.
- Issue formulation record to Production and supervise the trial production batch.
- Supervising Lab Technician on quality control and testing matter.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Head of Business Development.

Competency Level:

- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Equivalent or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or Diploma in Applied Science with 5 year of relevant working experience.
- Computer literate.
- Able to work independently.
- Good analytical mind and able to communicate effective
- Semi-retried working on flexi working day also be considerable.
