**Job Purpose**:

- To integrate into all business verticals within ESI and partnering with R&D, Marketing and other business units for new and existing products so as to present the chemical regulatory landscape in Asia and to communicate upcoming regulatory updates.
- To oversee and manage all chemical regulatory compliance work needed for new and existing products to stay compliant in Asia.
- To spearhead regional outreach effort to establish ESI’s presence within various Asia Chemical Associations

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage staff of three officers
- Represent the Asia region leading with policy and processes, as well as competitive advantage strategies
- Responsible for centralizing the needs of the region from the appropriate point personnel
- Integration into the business to understand and define the product regulatory business issues and helping to resolve them
- Perform chemical registrations in Asia
- Coordinates the regulatory specialists’ activities so that redundancies are avoided, and efficiencies are found
- Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape of Asia and perform impact assessment for the business
- Assess product compliance with regulations that affect the product
- Manage the Regulatory portion of the MFD workflows to ensure appropriate approval flows, reliability of information and efficiency.
- In conjunction with IT, ensure that label language and shipping information for products is available and accurate
- Oversee and monitor staff training to maintain knowledge, expertise, and certifications to assure business needs are covered at all times.

- Develop internal tools to assist Regulatory Specialists in evaluating and assessing regulatory impacts on new products, modifications, and new raw materials (Procedures Manual, checklists, regulatory summaries, internal training programs)
- Establish approach for outreach effort to join Chemical Associations in Asia

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Good knowledge of chemical regulations in Asia
- Good inter-personal, communication skills.
- Self-motivated, analytical, logical, and independent.
- Able to work under pressure and to meet the tight deadlines.
- Good command in both spoken and written English, Chinese
- Knowledge in data management is an advantage.
- Chemical laboratory experience will be preferred.

**Education**:

- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry
