The Duty Engineer will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings for the hotel facility. He or she will assume the duties of the Chief Engineer during that person’s absences. He or she will assist with scheduling, delegating work assignments, and inspect the completion of all work performed by subordinates and contractors.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operate, maintain and repair all aspects of the Hotel systems in accordance to the requirement standards set by the Hotel.
- Coordinate with other department's counterparts to ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress
- Ensure the work request and preventive maintenance programs are managed and maintained properly with accurate compilation of record / document and completed satisfaction.
- Coordinate and communicate engineering work activities with other departments concerning identification of repair and maintenance problems and requirements, satisfaction with work in progress, and work completed.
- Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel.
- Ensure proper measures are taken to protect the environment and the Hotel’s adherence to it.
- Maintain all workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure sufficient stock for the necessary tools, materials and parts required for operating use. Raise purchase orders as and when required.
- Participates as a pro-active team member in the Hotel’s Energy conservation program by making appropriate recommendations to Engineering managers on energy conservation improvements.
- Ensure Fire and Engineering safety features and be thoroughly familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures and perform assigned duties as per the Hotel’s Emergency Response Plan.
- Ensure compliance with legislated workplace health and safety requirements.
- Comply and ensure adherence to all the policies and procedures in the Engineering Department and the Hotel’s general policies.
- Ensure that all requests for repair and maintenance are carried out within an acceptable time frame.
- Be familiar and operate the Hotel’s Building Automation system. Perform equipment repairs as per manufactures recommendations.
- Perform all other assigned tasks pertaining to the Hotel’s Engineering Department and as set by your supervisors / managers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $2,400.00 - $2,500.00 per month
