We are currently looking for a Demand Planner to be based in Singapore to ensure forecast accuracy and be an effective conduit between Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations in ensuring demand consensus.
**Responsibilities**:
**Demand Planning**
- Responsible to develop historical trend analysis, segment analysis, volatility and forecast error history on items and customers level to assist with at least a 12 to 18 months rolling forward planning activities.
- Responsible for analysing and validating the demand at business level. Ensure market intelligence, risk & opportunities, new product introduction, conversion and rationalization are captured.
- Understand sales trends, inventory levels, and status of product on order. Evaluate excess inventory situations and work cross-functionally to develop consumption or liquidation plans that maximize revenue and margin
- Ensure accurate set-up and data integrity within system, review exceptions, execute demand planning calendar tasks on time, lead and provide input on forecast related meetings, understand statistical demand history or order patterns.
- Provide one point of contact for all forecasting-related questions from other functions and utilize troubleshooting and problem solving skills to work with other functions to correct any issues.
- Gather market intelligence from sales, supply chain and operation networks to incorporate into and adjust the baseline statistical forecast. Assess the impact of market changes or significant variances in the forecast and recommend appropriate revisions and tactics.
- Proactively communicate known significant forecast changes on items to supply planners.
- Work to close operational vs. financial forecast gaps.
- Track performance of new items. Drive improvement in new item processes and forecast error.
- Identify potential inventory shortages in the future and develop appropriate plans to ensure order fulfilment and prevent stock-out.
- Managing total inventory to target expectations and customer service availability agreements.
- Control and monitor FG & RM aging stock regularly and follow through with Business on recommended actions or disposition of slow moving and obsolete inventories.
- Identify key factory shipment issues and opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to develop appropriate action plan
- Communicate risks and opportunities to Planning Manager and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement by examining existing demand planning processes and making recommendations for improvement.
- Accountable for FG and RM forecast adjustment and accuracy
- TAAP - Participate in daily OTC meeting. Backup supply planner in presenting work center lead time to stakeholders on every weekly basis (Monday).
**Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)**
- Drive monthly S&OP - Demand Review with Sales team
- Drive monthly S&OP - Supply Planning meetings with supply chain, manufacturing operations, warehouse and logistics teams.
- Participate in S&OP - Technology Innovation meeting. To collate new product introduction (NPI), new project, raw material alternate sourcing or substitution information and incorporate into S&OP Demand Review process to support the business goals.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders like Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance to drive for results.
- Responsible for managing the S&OP process including facilitating demand, supply, reviews and consensus among functions and stakeholders to deliver business objectives and metrics performance levels. Ensure business exceptions from these meetings are defined and escalated to Planning Manager and Supply Chain Director for decision making in Business Review
- Work on the formal documented processes which are accepted, understood, and approved with clearly defined accountabilities, business processes, expected outputs and KPIs.
- Educate cross-functional partners on the S&OP process and engage them in the ongoing process as appropriate.
- Align supply and demand with business strategies through the planning cycle. Provide clear summary of risks and opportunities and recommendations for decision making in business review.
- Prepare and review reports/KPIs and dashboards and to drive discussion and reach consensus in reviews meeting in the S&OP process.
- Provide insights and reports on inventory trends and accountable for the performance and impact of inventory levels in the organization.
- Optimize Capacity Plan to support the S&OP and longer-term business planning.
