Overview:
This position supports the Regional S&OP demand planning process for assigned products and drives the consensus on global forecast with with inputs from other Demand Planners around the world. He/She is responsible for ensuring a high quality demand forecast is developed using assumptions based on cross-functional inputs, trends, new product introductions information and business/commercial knowledge.

**Responsibilities**:
Manage and drive the Regional S&OP demand planning process for assigned product families
- Generate a rolling 18 month demand forecast evaluating results and adjust statistical models
- Review historical sales data, identify trends, and adjust forecast as required
- Review forecast error metrics and identify actions to reduce forecast error and bias
- Collaborates with Commercial and Product Managers to ensure that cross functional inputs are captured, assessed and incorporated into the Global Demand Forecast for the divisions he/she supports.
- Review trends and key forecast changes to the demand forecast in the monthly Demand Review meetings to align the Commercial and Product Managers, Finance, Global and Regional Supply Planners, and Operations
- Monitor and ensure the integrity and accuracy for relevant master data maintained in SAP to support the demand forecasting tool
- Work with the Supply Planners to identify items for the SKU Optimization Process
- Assist in development of annual plans and to identify gaps to the annual plans compared to the bottoms up demand forecast build

S&OP
- Facilitates the monthly S&OP process for their business/product family and serves as the key contact between commercial team and operations team
- Ensure relevant issues are raised in the Supply Review Meetings and any follow-up actions or decisions are communicated back to the organization and acted upon
- Aligns with team on current month + next 90 day forecast, balance of the year forecast and quantifies risks and opportunities of the consensus demand plan (CDP)
- Explains demand shortfalls and spikes to the appropriate stakeholders in the SOP process, including the options/plans to mitigate risk.

General
- Ensures that aligned forecast from the S&OP process is input into SAP before last Friday of the month
- Leads the analysis to identify potential gaps and opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and bias
- Monitor supply chain key performance indicators, perform root cause analysis, implement action plans and strive for continuous improvement
- Provide process and system training for new personnel

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Management or other related field.
- Minimum 4 years Demand Planning quantitative experience required
- Experience with Demand Planning systems - SAP APO, GAINS, O9, KINAXIS or DYNASYS
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
- Ability to think strategically, execute tactically and be detail oriented
- Understanding of LEAN concepts preferred
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills
- Cross-functional team leadership skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues/opportunities
- Demonstrated thought leadership by independently developing and advocating a point of view
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Results oriented self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Supply Chain certification is a plus
