**Business Development Manager (South Asia) - Marsh Advisory**

Working with the Marsh Advisory, South Asia Leadership and various Marsh stakeholders, the principal responsibility of the Business Development Manager (South Asia) is to define strategy, engage clients and manage resources to achieve country New Business targets across all Advisory solution lines for South Asia.

The Business Development Manager (South Asia) has responsibility for engaging with Marsh clients to provide a central point of contact for clients and colleagues to access the services of Marsh Advisory across South Asia. They will have responsibility for Marsh Advisory new and expanded services (sales generated and revenue delivered) into South Asia and be accountable to country and Advisory leadership for the achievement of these targets. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Advisory Head of Strategy and Growth, the South Asia CCO, client executives and Advisory pillar leaders to hit annual targets.

With a tenacious ability to drive results by being creative and innovative in all they do combined with exemplary sales and sales operations management and rigorous attention to detail, the Engagement Leader will deliver positive outcomes for both Marsh and prospective clients. **We will count on you to**:

- Support and enable the country’s budgeted New Business target through the leadership and management of the New Business sales cycle.
- Work with the Strategy and Growth Leader to develop and articulate the country Growth Strategy, communicating this on a local and regional level, and allocate resourcing to support the delivery and achievement of the strategy.
- Partner with in-country client executive teams, Advisory pillar and practice leads and Placement teams to utilize appropriate resources for major prospects and to support the achievement of new business and growth strategy targets.
- Work closely with South Asia Country Consulting leads to develop propositions and targeted Risk Management client engagement strategies. Embedding our Advisory solutions into new and existing client relationships.
- Supports account processes from the identification stage to closing; leading pricing negotiations, facilitating product and expectation discussions and ultimately securing a beneficial financial outcome for the business.
- Build a strong understanding of our Advisory solutions portfolio, a deep understanding of the customer value proposition, and Marsh’s key differentiators.
- Work with Client Executives to produce sales proposals, presentations and RFP responses which creatively and effectively address complex prospect needs and appropriately communicate the business value of internal services and offerings.
- Possessing the ability and confidence to cultivate senior executive and senior management relationships in prospects (CEO, CFO etc.).
- Responsible for providing project strategic direction including tracking issues, schedules and deliverables for complex customer delivery projects involving multiple customers with multiple departments.
- Deliver training, roadshows, webinars, thought leadership to colleagues, clients and prospects in Marsh and Marsh Client forums
- Track activity through Salesforce consistently and efficiently.

**What you need to have**:

- Degree in any discipline
- More than 8 years in sales-related role, as well as 5 or more years in a multinational company in a related field such as insurance or professional services
- Be able to identify prospective client needs and clearly articulate our proposed solutions;
- Possess excellent writing, networking and presentation skills;
- Be highly self-motivated with the ability to influence and lead other colleagues in the pursuit of an opportunity;
- Strong experience in sales with demonstrable record of successfully achieving demanding sales targets.
- Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
- Clear understanding of a sales cycle and the key criteria for success.
- Process oriented and demonstrated ability to prioritize projects and deliverables.
- Commercial credibility with the skills to express value propositions and cost benefits.
- Financial credibility with the talent to clearly articulate forecasts, budgets and targets
