DESIGNATION : Pedagogue

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Pedagogy, the role of Pedagogue is to work collaboratively as a member of the Pedagogy Team to ensure that EtonHouse pedagogy remains innovative and that it is implemented effectively. In addition to working directly with schools, the Pedagogue supports Curriculum Managers within the Pedagogy Team with short
- and long-term projects.

**Job Role & Responsibilities**

**Support the professional development of EtonHouse’s Teaching Teams**:

- To organise with the school’s Pedagogical Leadership Team an annual schedule of proposed professional learning opportunities (topics; venues; timing). This must be developed in consultation with the Pedagogy team to ensure that professional learning sessions across teaching teams are consistent and that dates for various sessions do not overlap
- To design, develop and facilitate workshops for EtonHouse teachers in Singapore and overseas

**Scheduled visits to preschools and schools**:

- To support and establish positive working relationships with school Pedagogical Leadership teams
- To support school Pedagogical Leadership Teams, (Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, Senior Teacher), in developing each member of their school’s teaching teams by:

- Building an understanding of EtonHouse Pedagogy and its implementation
- Mentoring Senior Teachers and Curriculum Coordinators that are new to the role

**Support Curriculum Managers with diverse projects**

Projects include, but are not limited to:

- Development of content for asynchronous workshops
- Development of written curriculum
- Research into pedagogical approaches and strategies
- Review and revision of EtonHouse curriculum framework
- Any other duties related to pedagogy that may arise due to the needs of the company as directed by Director of Pedagogy

QUALIFICATIONS

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a pedagogical leadership role
- Passionate about early childhood education
- Knowledge and experience of inquiry-based teaching and learning
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for pedagogy
- Experience with groups of schools (2 or more schools), knowledge and practice of vertical and horizontal alignment practices within and across schools
