The Development department engages with philanthropic individuals, foundations and corporations, government counterparts, media and beneficiaries to build capacity and secure the financial future of the Singapore Symphony Group (“SSG” or “the Company”), a non-profit Institution of Public Character (IPC), through fundraising activities, media and stakeholder relations. The Development Senior Executive’s role is to support in fundraising communication material and corporate level write ups, all of which contributes to enhancing SSG’s image and reputation as an IPC through communication materials for external parties.

The Senior Executive is a key member of the Development department and will be working closely with all members of the department.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Donor Cultivation**
- Work with the department to identify potential donors.
- Research, develop, and write funding proposals, appeal letters, and reports as required, in compliance with relevant charitable legislation.

**Development Communications**
- Assist with content such as fundraising campaign pitches and donor profile stories for media, social media and SSG corporate e-newsletters.
- Maintain and update fundraising content on platforms including website and concert booklets.

**Organisation-level Communications**
- Assist with content for corporate platform such as website and LinkedIn.
- Support in drafting speeches, talking points, social media posts and manage relationships. To deliver and keep records of features of SSG spokespersons and ambassadors.
- Assist with SSG corporate e-newsletter idealisation and draft articles.

**Corporate Social Responsibility Programme**
- Assist with CSR programme including engagement of beneficiaries for concert and hosting them.
- Develop and maintain contact database of beneficiary organisations.

**Stakeholder Engagement**
- **Donors**: when applicable, assist in hosting prospective donors and existing donors in various Development events, such as receptions for guests, partnership cultivation and donor appreciation events.
- **GoH and CSR**: when applicable, coordination with the photographer, where VIPs, Guest of Honours, and CSR guests are attending concerts and events.

**Leadership Responsibilities**
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist to supervise Development Communications interns when applicable.
- Any other tasks assigned by the team.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- A university degree in a related discipline.
- Interest in classical music.
- Strong work ethics and sound judgement.
- Resilient and meticulous individual with positive energy and excellent media writing/editing and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, good initiative and the ability to work under pressure with a matrix reporting structure.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, build alliances, and achieve results.
- Proficient in English and one other widely-used language.
- Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and holidays during events/concerts.
