To drive our global growth we are creating a new Executive level role in our leadership team with the new Chief Commercial Officer. This role is intended to lead all commercial activities globally.

- Define and deliver company revenue targets
- Lead ongoing day-to-day interactions with customers across the sales pipeline
- Create and implement Partnership strategies that support long-term revenue growth
- Recruit, Motivate, and Manage a distributed Sales team, ensuring they are able to deliver the required performance to achieve agreed sales growth targets.

- This role will play a critical function in Pomelo’s leadership team, driving sales and partnerships and ensuring all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to successfully support revenue and partnerships goals
- Create a standardised go-to-market approach to clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, strategic account management, and marketing
- Develop growth strategies with the executive team
- Create accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions aligned with these metrics
- Prospect and close relationships with key target clients
- Establish both short-term targets and long-term sales strategy, including industries targeted, and revenue projections
- Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition thru to successful launch and follow-on business engagements
- Fill management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales Leadership, Partnership Development and Account Management
- Develop and implement robust sales management processes - pipeline, account planning, and proposalsOversee all Channel/Partner Development
- adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners
- Represent Pomelo on industry bodies and forums.
- Direct in-market resources to assure that all goals are supported in a cost effective, timely manner, with a resulting high level of client satisfaction.
**Skills/Competencies**
Specific skills, traits and competencies necessary to be successful in this role
- 10+ years in progressive Sales & partnership development leadership positions, with knowledge and experience in the Payments and Financial Services industries
- Exceptional Leadership capability, with experience leading sales teams
- Strong Influencing and negotiation skills
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills
- Proven track record of leading and driving teams to achieve and exceed established goals and objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally
- Experience of operating in fast-growth entrepreneurial environments
**Technical/Functional**
Specific & unique technical/functional competencies necessary to be successful in this role
- Functional and regulatory experience in Acceptance, Merchant Acquiring, Interchange Management, financial transaction processing knowledge and client sales
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Cultural experience of emerging markets business development & partnership environment
- Sales and relationship management skills
- Business analytical skills
- Experience designing, shaping and delivering sales & commercial strategies
