Payments Domain Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of payment schemes and protocols, including SWIFT (MT/MX messages), ISO 20022, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), and Automated Clearing House (ACH).
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise functional and technical specifications. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to design robust and scalable payment solutions.
- Technical Acumen: Leverage strong technical skills in Java development, understanding of API design and integration (RESTful, SOAP), and experience with Microservices architecture to contribute to technical discussions and problem-solving.
- Agile Methodology: Actively participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Effectively communicate with and manage expectations of various stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and external vendors.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing timely solutions.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the payments space, recommending and implementing best practices.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- 7+ years of experience in a techno-functional role within the payments domain.
- Demonstrable expert-level knowledge of payment product processors, specifically GPP and/or FIS OPF. Please highlight your specific experience with these platforms.
- Deep understanding of payment messaging standards (SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022).
- Strong grasp of payment rails and schemes (RTGS, ACH).
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Solid experience with API design, development, and integration (RESTful, SOAP).
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture and principles.
- Understanding of deployment strategies and environments.
- Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

**Desirable Skills (Bonus Points)**:

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging queues.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with payment fraud detection or AML systems.
- Relevant certifications in payments or technology.
