Singapore Continental Full time

Contribute to the overall design and development of various components of our robot localization system (e.g. map aided localization, sensor fusion and state estimation using a range of sensor data, lidar odometry, and visual inertial odometry). We take the time to ensure everything works robustly and reliably with each sensor/compute configuration.
- Research and prototype new algorithms for robot localization in challenging conditions such as environments with high occlusion, dynamic scenes or with sensors with high level of noise.
- Test and evaluate different sensor offerings in the market and how they can be used to augment existing localization approaches.
- Research and develop algorithms and approaches to reliably detect the failures in localization systems due to edge case scenarios.
- Help build benchmarks to automatically test the performance of the localization system in a range of edge cases.
- Help build tools that allow us to monitor the performance of the localization system when deployed in the field.
- Work closely with other teams (e.g. navigation team, perception team, and fleet management team) to ensure operational requirements are met.
- We’re constantly looking to build our IP portfolio; hence you will be expected to write invention disclosures that will lead to patents with the help from our IP lawyers.
- Develop well-documented industry-ready software modules and libraries predominantly for ROS2 with the assistance of senior software engineers.
