The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Project Manager in Multimedia Content Creation to research, design, and implement scientific multimedia content pieces for a broad audience that highlight our exciting research and teaching activities. The ASE conducts critical research and trains students in a myriad of topics related to the sustainability and resilience of Southeast Asia, including geohazards, forest ecology, biodiversity change, geomicrobiology, climate change, sea-level rise, ocean health, and the relationships between environment and society. The Project Manager will plan and create multimedia content (e.g., short video clips, infographics) for social media and online platforms, with the goal of better informing stakeholders on the important work we do. Stakeholders will variously include the general public, government and funding agencies, prospective students, and the global scientific community. The Project Manager will also collaborate on research projects focused on how to most effectively communicate our science to non-expert audiences. While thinking creatively and imaginatively, they must also have a keen eye for accuracy. It will be imperative to make sure that all pieces are, in collaboration with our faculty, vetted and verified for scientific accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:
- Communicating with faculty to discover important topics to highlight to public audiences- Planning a schedule for social media and online content generation and posting- Designing, developing and posting innovative and effective multimedia content on ASE research and teaching for social media- Producing short video products and other media for a range of stakeholders, including the general public, prospective students, and the scientific community.- Working with student interns interested in experiences in public engagement and content creation- Conducting research on effective engagement of the public on Earth and environmental science

Job Requirements:
- A BA or BS degree in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field is required- Expertise in video editing and screenwriting tools (e.g., Davinci Studio, Final Cut Pro, Celtx) is required- Some experience in website maintenance would be ideal (e.g., Javascript)- At least 10 years of relevant experience creating short-topic videos for online audiences is required- Evidence of excellent English language and communication skills is required. Ability to speak other regional languages would be a plus- Evidence of independence in project management, involving complex, high-budget projects, is required
