The Team
At Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, our Asset Listing team is dedicated to accelerating the global adoption of crypto. We ensure our clients can access the latest crypto tokens on our platform while giving new crypto projects the visibility they deserve.
We’re looking for a Research Manager - Digital Asset Markets to join our global team. This is a remote role based in the US, Europe, or Singapore. You’ll be a key player supporting our business development initiatives, with a primary focus on identifying high-potential crypto projects that could be game-changers in the industry.
Working cross-functionally with BD, operations, and compliance, this is an individual contributor role reporting into a senior leader. If you’re passionate about crypto, obsessed with finding the next breakout token, and thrive in a fast-paced environment — this one’s for you.
The Opportunity
Partner with the business development team to source and prioritize high-impact crypto projects that can drive client growth and trading volume.
Conduct in-depth market research and due diligence on new tokens and early-stage projects.
Build and maintain relationships with crypto founders, market makers, VCs, accelerators, and foundations to validate project quality and potential.
Source new opportunities, both inbound and outbound, through industry events, your network, and creative outreach strategies.
Evaluate potential listings using bottom-up and top-down analysis, leveraging data and critical thinking to support recommendations.
Manage and prioritize the asset pipeline, ensuring consistent progress and visibility.
Stay on top of industry trends, emerging ecosystems, and narratives — and contribute ideas to help shape Kraken’s listing strategy.
Skills You Should HODL
5+ years of experience in market research or a related field, with at least 2 years in the crypto industry.
Proven track record of identifying high-potential opportunities, even in challenging market conditions.
Experience with the asset listing process at a digital asset exchange is a strong plus.
Deep knowledge of crypto ecosystems — not just blue-chip tokens, but also early-stage projects, ecosystems, and niche narratives.
You live and breathe crypto. You’re curious, resourceful, and driven to stay ahead of market trends.
A strong personal network in the crypto space (VCs, founders, market makers, accelerators) is a big plus.
You believe wholeheartedly in the cypherpunk, libertarian values outlined in Kraken’s Tentaclements document.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels and functions.
Fluent in English and based in the US, Europe, or Singapore.
