COO Office, Lead, Planning and Performance
Operations ambition is to provide exceptional service to our customer, every time, anytime and anywhere. The COO Office is the liaison glue uniting the COO, Head of Departments and colleagues in implementation of our Operations ambition and ensuring key day-to-day operational activities runs smoothly.
COO Office is tasked with ensuring that all elements and functions of the Operations Division are working in one common purpose: delivering value for our customers, distributors and other internal customers
Reporting into the Head, COO Office; this role will be accountable for coordination and performance reporting for Operations, ensuring appropriate levels of stakeholder engagement. The role will also provide support in driving key improvements projects, being the voice of operations in cross-functional strategic initiatives and quick resolution of ad-hoc issues.
**Job Description**:
- Lead efforts to plan and implement a balanced budget for the Operations Division which includes staff and non-staff cost. Put in place a monitoring framework which includes regular conversations with the department heads on their expense and forecast positions, making relevant investments and adjustments to meet operational and expense targets, maintaining a monitoring [Power BI] dashboard to provide quick access to budget, expense and forecast numbers.
- Support the preparation for strategic meetings and ensure timely follow ups on action items
- Risk and Regulatory Meetings with MAS, Audit Committee, Board Risk Committee
- Performance management meetings: Operations Quarterly Dialogue, Monthly Operations Meetings, Division Dialogue on Expenses, Regional TCFC Council
- Agency Distribution Meetings: Quarterly PRUengage with selected Agency Leaders, Agency Leader Conference and Flying Start, ensuring internal follow ups to close items
- Work in close partnership with Head of Governance [Operations] to support with operations risk items coordination, tracking, closure and subsequent reporting
- Support with cross-functional issues, challenges and initiatives related to operations. Ensure these issues are monitored and closed in a timely manner.
- Support initiatives based on COO priorities which includes participating in cross-functional strategic projects leveraging on data-driven insights to challenge established processes and current ways of working
- Support the Operations People Council, participating in people initiatives and communication strategies for Operations Division Colleagues wellbeing and engagement including townhalls, People Council Newsletter, recognition programs etc.
- Responsible for developing and coordinating COO Leadership team engagement and strategy days
