The Future Economy Lab Asia (FELA) seeks to shift how our communities, governments, and private sector businesses and investors think about economic development. The Future Economy Lab does this by engaging investors — institutional, governmental, individuals, asset managers — alongside the community in new ways to research and design financial mechanisms alongside the community that it is meant to serve.

**The Opportunity**

SecondMuse Capital is continuing to expand its work in designing and managing capital mechanisms to finance economies that are more inclusive and resilient, in Canada, the United States and Asia-Pacific. This opportunity is for a senior innovative finance specialist to join the team at SecondMuse Capital in Asia. This person will be responsible for leading the design of innovative financial mechanisms to deliver value for SMEs working at the intersection of gender and climate.

**Essential Functions**
- Identifying priority areas of research and analysis on innovative finance initiatives for the team to conduct.
- Lead development of financial innovation design and modeling as part of the Future Economy Lab Asia
- Effectively translate research and ideas into financial mechanisms, financial models, and other materials to share with our partners.
- Maintain a shared database and knowledge of financial instruments and models to advance financial innovation work.
- Collaborate with members across SecondMuse Capital teams to develop impact investing and financial innovation products.

**Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge of finance, investments and blended finance, with general (strong) knowledge and understanding of multiple asset classes.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects and to manage tasks independently with excellent attention to detail.
- Passion for the organization’s mission.
- Good management and communications skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly evolving work environment.
