As the Head of Compliance for Singapore, you will be a crucial member of the senior leadership team and accountable for developing and implementing policies and practices to ensure that the company is meeting financial services, anti-money laundering, conduct expectations and all other regulatory requirements.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Represent the Company’s compliance function in building and maintaining relationships with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and other regulators
- Be the key point of contact for all regulatory changes impacting the Singapore business e.g. in the event of new regulations and guidance, determine the requirements, analyse the gap and the impact on the business, and drive through changes
- Act as an adviser to the Company’s BoD and senior management on general compliance issues, present regular compliance reports with key findings, and represent Singaporean Compliance in key internal committees/focus groups
- Engage regularly with the Regional Commercial Head to discuss cross-departmental dynamics, proactively identify opportunities for mitigating risks
- Ensure Singapore’s compliance monitoring plan and testings are fully operational at all times
- Develop a training programme that ensures staff and the business are fully aware of their regulatory obligations Assess the Company’s status of compliance and report periodically to senior management and the BoD keeping them informed of all relevant matters
- Detect, record and evaluate, at least on an annual basis, all risks arising from existing and new customers, new financial instruments and services, and update and amend the systems and procedures applied by the Company
- Provide assistance in any other specific or general way to the Global Compliance function and escalate where necessary

**About You**:

- Significant financial services experience in a compliance or regulatory role (this is essential)
- Deep understanding of relevant Singaporean regulations
- Experience in dealing with regulators on a direct basis and in face-to-face meetings
- Bachelor's degree in relation to law (preferably)
- 5 years of practical experience in a similar role, experience working within Singapore’s CFD and margin FX industry is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrable track record of effectively managing a complex range of stakeholders
- Ability to be a self-starter and proven demonstration of having a hands-on approach
- Team management and leadership experience
