SSS has nearly 100 faculty members and more than 1,700 undergraduates who major in the four degree programmes the School offers: Economics, Psychology, Public Policy and Global Affairs, and Sociology. There are more than 180 graduate students in our PhD and MA programmes (by research), and MSc programmes in Applied Economics and Gerontology. The School’s holistic and rigorous education aims to prepare our students with analytical and critical capacities that can be applied in the classroom and future careers. Apart from being deeply engaged in their disciplinary pursuits, our faculty members are also at the forefront of cutting-edge research between the social sciences and other disciplines.

**Responsibilities**

Assist the Programme Director and Manager in managing all operational aspects of the Master of Science in Applied Economics programme, with the objective to ensure a timely and high-quality programme delivery to students.

The key job responsibilities include:
**Programme Operation**
- Handle course related enquiries by instructors or students
- Process payment of fees to course instructors
- Manage all administrative and logistic matters of the programme

**Marketing of Programme and Recruitment of Students**
- Build up contact list of potential partnering organisations and students
- Plan and schedule programme talks/ networking sessions/information sessions locally and overseas, if applicable
- Produce effective marketing collaterals and maintain websites, Linkedin, and other new media platforms

**Student Enrolment**
- Work closely with Office of Academic Services to ensure student details are in compliance with University admissions system

**Scholarship Application, Procedures and Administration**
- Prepare and award Scholarship to eligible applicants

**Financial matters**
- Assist in tracking programme budget utilization and balance
- Manage procurement and other administrative matters

**Student Matters**
- Arrange for orientation of new students
- Manage course registration, add/drop, deferment, leave of absence and status of completion of programme
- Assist in examination and grade matters

**Data **Management **& Analysis**
- Assist in collection and maintenance of data sets to facilitate effective monitoring of, and insight into, the overall operational effectiveness and efficiency of the programme.

**Requirements**:

- At least 4 years relevant working experience
- A recognise Bachelor D eg r ee ho l der
- Strong administrative skills and customer service
- Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
