Job description:
The labs of Associate Professor Ji Sun, Assistant Professor Yong Zi Tan and Assistant Professor Chunyi Hu are looking for a cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) specialist. This person will support the daily cryo-EM operations of the three labs, and work with biological researchers from these labs for cryo-EM. The labs are core members of the Centre for BioImaging Sciences' (CBIS), and have access to high-end cryo-EM microscopes, including two Titan Krios and one T12 screening microscope.

Main Responsibilities
- Grid clipping and loading
- Operation of microscopes for data collections (mainly cryo-EM data collection)
- Data transfer
- Documentation of data collection parameters, etc
- Other house-keeping work on general cryo-EM work
- Purchasing and inventory maintenance for cryo-EM related consumables
- Teaching others on cryo-EM

**Qualifications**:
Job Qualifications
- BS, Master or Ph.D. in biophysics, physics or life-science preferred but not necessary
- Must be a team player and willing to support diverse scientific projects/scientists
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Background or experience in electron microscope-related work preferred but not necessary
- Familiarity with Linux operating system preferred but not necessary
