Substance Abuse

The Department plans and implements the National Tobacco Control Programme through a multi-prong approach comprising public education, collaboration with partners and development of policies to support adoption of smoke-free lifestyle.

**What you will be working on**

You will lead the department in the design and development of prevention programmes related to substance abuse with focus on smoking and vaping to be delivered across different settings across schools, workplaces and community. You will be involved in the following key areas:
Lead the Department in the Corporate/Strategic Planning such as the Workplan and budget, management, implementation and evaluation of programs such as iQuit Oversee projects in collaboration with various external stakeholders eg researchers from various organisations, whole-of government agencies as well as work across internal division in a matrix manner Oversee all Related Campaigns and Programmes:
Conceptualise, develop, implement & evaluate public education and smoking cessation programmes to reduce the prevalence of smoking in Singapore: Develop & implement smoking prevention programmes Develop & implement smoking cessation programmes eg iQuit for relevant target groups in various settings; i.e. schools, community, workplaces, uniform groups, healthcare setting. Foster partnerships with government and non-government organisations as well as the private sector, to plan and coordinate programmes for specific target populations. Lead in efforts smoking/ vaping prevention and cessation programs expansion under the HealthierSG initiative

**What we are looking for**
- Possesses relevant qualifications in / experience working in Public Health, Health Promotion / Communications, Public Policy or other related fields of study;
- Possesses at least 10 years of working experience in the middle-senior management level
- Strong in analytical and stakeholders management skills, managing projects related to conceptualising and planning programmes
- Proven track records in developing and managing projects and campaigns at a national level;
- Experience in conceptualising, managing and developing programs on digital platform eg mobile app, website and familiarity in user journey design will be preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven track records in being effective leader
