Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the ED & CEO, the **Manager (Membership & Industry Development) **is responsible for SLA’s efforts to engage and ensure the sustained satisfaction of members’ experience with the association. The person will develop and implement engagement programs to maintain member relations and promote a vibrant network of active members. This includes organising visits to members, organising and participating in relevant industry activities and events, leveraging comms channels such as website and social media as opportunities to network and build relationships with and amongst members, collating feedback from members, updating and distributing information to members. The Manager will also develop and drive creative prospecting and marketing programs to attract and acquire new members.
The Manager will continually review and strengthen SLA processes and systems to sustain effective membership administrative and operations functions such as managing members’ queries, maintaining and updating membership records, renewal of membership, preparation of reports etc.
Key functional roles include but not limited to, the following:
- Review existing membership engagement programs and materials; implement continual improvements such as creating and updating membership and marketing materials (letters, flyers for upcoming events, welcome packets, fact sheets, directories, surveys, and others) and expanding range of member benefits and increasing awareness of such benefits to enhance membership satisfaction and retention.
- Develop goals and action plans for acquiring new members, including corporate sponsorships. Develop mechanisms to provide and track customer service to existing members, corporate partners and relationship building with prospective partners.
- Review and implement continual improvement of SLA's internal processes and systems to sustain effective membership administrative functions such as maintaining and updating membership records, renewal of membership, preparation of reports etc. via appropriate cost-effective digital solutions.
- Support and assist other members of the secretariat team as necessary, including planning and organising meetings for council and other committees overseeing special projects organised by the SLA, as well as day-to-day operations of the office.
- Any other duties assigned, from time to time.
