**Accountant**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Regional Management Accounting & Analysis (Primary Focus)**:

- Lead the month-end close process for our entities across the Asia-Pacific region, with a primary focus on **Singapore** and growing operations in the **Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan.**:

- Prepare full sets of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements for each entity.
- Take ownership of the general ledger, including posting all necessary month-end journals such as accruals, prepayments, multi-currency revaluations, and deferred income.
- Perform and review key balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, fixed assets, intercompany, and other control accounts.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget/Forecast) and provide clear, concise commentary to explain regional business performance.
- Business partner with regional budget holders to enhance financial understanding and control costs effectively.
- **Regional Tax & Compliance Support**:

- **Support** the Finance Director and local advisors with the preparation and submission of statutory tax filings, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Singapore, and other relevant consumption and corporate taxes in the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan.
- **Assist** by providing accurate transactional data, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for all regional tax compliance matters.
- Act as an internal point of contact for information requests from our external tax advisors in the region.
- **Audit & Statutory Reporting**:

- Act as the key point of contact for the Group's external financial audit as it pertains to the APAC entities.
- Coordinate with local audit firms to ensure timely completion of statutory audits for individual entities in the region.
- Ensure all regional accounting practices comply with local regulations.
- **Ad-Hoc Projects - as assigned by management.**
- **Essential**:

- Professional accounting qualification
- **Proven experience managing the full month-end accounting cycle for international companies, with direct, hands-on experience in Singapore being essential.**:

- **Demonstrable experience with the financial and regulatory environment in at least one of the following: the Philippines, Taiwan, or Japan.**:

- A solid understanding of consumption tax principles (e.g., GST/VAT) in key Asian markets.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Sumifs) and experienced with accounting systems
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders across different cultures.
- Ability to work flexibly across different time zones to collaborate effectively with regional and global teams.

Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,600.00 per month

**Experience**:
