**OVERVIEW**:
The Chief Information Office (CIO) is at the forefront of DSTA’s digital transformation efforts. We are seeking passionate and driven engineers to join our team as we harness data and technology to modernise DSTA’s business processes and operations.As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that implements and manages our enterprise Data Analytics Platform, playing a critical role in building and enhancing the data infrastructure that supports DSTA’s mission.**Key Responsibilities**
- Enhance data architecture to optimise system performance and scalability.
- Design, build, and manage data pipelines; implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and workflows using the Data Analytics Platform.
- Analyse data quality issues and implement tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve data quality across enterprise systems.
- Perform day-to-day support including system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of the data platform, tools, and pipelines.
- Drive implementation of platform enhancements and ensure compliance with IT system policies.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and tools in data engineering to continuously improve the platform and infrastructure.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- In-depth specialisation and broad experience in data engineering, with the ability to solve multi-disciplinary data integration challenges of medium complexity.
- Familiarity with data integration tools and platform administration.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-driven, performance-oriented, and possesses good writing skills.
- Knowledge of government IT security policies and processes would be an added advantage.
