Operations Assistant

The Operations Assistant performs general clerical operations tasks that are routine and/or repetitive in nature.
Duties may include:
- Processing paperwork for warehouse.
- Logging of data into the system for warehouse.
- Assist in receiving and acknowledgement of goods for warehouse.
- Filing, photocopying, faxing, preparing and distributing incoming and/or outgoing mail or boxes
- Verifying orders and getting proper approvals from management for purchasing.
- Performing data entry tasks as well as compiling data
- Verifying and communicating discrepancies in the workflow and supporting other areas as needed
- Working under close supervision following established procedures
- Co-ordinating with transport company for collection and deliveries to ensure daily operation are achieved.
- Co-ordinating with suppliers and customers for collections and deliveries.
- Assist in ensuring staff carry out inventory and retrieval duties in the warehouse
- Assist in ensuring the team undertakes all tasks efficiently and effectively
- Assist in ensuring warehouse operations meet health and safety standards, as well as security requirements.
- Control of PPE inventory
- Assist in ensuring efficient receipt of goods from arriving container or supplier while meeting quality and quantity requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director & GM.
**Requirements**:
- At least 1 year working experience in warehouse operations is required for this position
- Ability to lead by example and multi-task with tight timelines
- Strong team player and self-starter who sees tasks to completion
- Strong interpersonal skills and resourceful in solving problems.
- Ability to work additional hours if needed
