We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as **Singapore Insurance Chief Information Officer**.

**Role Purpose**

This is a high profile, exciting and challenging role to lead the successful integration of two significant insurance companies (Project Solanio) in Singapore, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service, and building a cooperative culture. The role holder will lead and drive HSBC Insurance in meeting its business objectives through the delivery of all IT services. Drive strategic technology planning and transformation execution (including merger and acquisition activities), as well as day to day operations and initiatives to align to the business and global technology function priorities. Drive continuous improvement of the technology operating model including organisation, people and process (Ways of Working) to effectively control and manage all technology resources (people and financial) to maximise benefit to the business. Demonstrate HSBC values in the achievement of HSBC Insurance Singapore’s vision and provide leadership as part of the HSBC Singapore Insurance executive team and member of the global Insurance leadership team.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Strategic technology planning and transformation execution including leadership of the Solanio programme (including achieving exit from the AXA TSA services to target state technology platforms within the TSA terms and transformation budget).
- Participate in the effective management of the AXA Go relationship and TSA service delivery. In particular, provide ongoing support and technology leadership to: oversee and control the consumption of agreed TSA services, elaborate the Transition Out Plans and as required update and/or renegotiation of the terms of the Sale Purchase Agreement, Transition Service Agreement and associated schedules.
- Continuous improvement of the technology operating model including: business engagement, target architecture, organisation design and implementation (including appropriate resourcing mix of: vendor, on shore / off shore, permanent / contractor), staff skills and capability development, and internal and business facing ways of working.
- Manage all technology service delivery within agreed budgets and baselined plans and managing any variances through appropriate governance.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships at all levels (local, regional and global) of the business and technology including representing the technology function on the HSBC Singapore Executive and providing support as required to global forums as part of the Group Insurance technology leadership team.
- Provide leadership to the technology function supporting the HSBC Insurance Singapore business and build a high performing technology team with a high level of engagement from members, and a working environment and practices consistent with HSBC values, policies and guidelines.
- Uphold HSBC policies and guidelines and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines and requirements (MAS etc) providing support as required to the HSBC Insurance Singapore COO to manage the relationship with the country regulator.
- Ensure all technology risks including cyber, operational and financial are understood, assessed, controlled and reported in collaboration with globally aligned risk control functions in technology and the business to ensure all risks are managed over time and within appetite.
- Ensure all internal and external vendor relationships and services are managed to quality, time and costs and delivered to align to the businesses priorities and that all appropriate governance controls are consistently and effectively applied.
- Own and regulate approvals within the delegated level of authority.
