
Supervisory IT Specialist

**Duties**:
- Provides leadership and guidance to assigned program and staff in establishing priorities, developing plans, meeting established deadlines, and resolving problems.
- Observes and critiques workers performance and provides quarterly feedback and performance evaluations.
- Provides technical and administrative leadership to OCIO's IT technical systems and services.
- Provides performance metrics and key elements. Including technical designs, service delivery parameters, industry standards and data collection and processing methodologies.
- Conducts IT strategic planning, budget development, and project management activities.

- Subject to one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period unless prior service is creditable. New USDA supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.
- Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
**Qualifications**:

- **Basic Qualifications**: Must have information technology related experience that demonstrates possession of each of the four required competencies. PROBLEM SOLVING: I identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations. - **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:To be considered mínimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level(s) in which you are applying:
- **GS-14**: Must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level; or its non-Federal equivalent that included experience Providing leadership and guidance to IT employees, managing programs and services within an enterprise data center hosting environment, and facilitating, developing, and managing strategic level project plans.
