**What are my job responsibilities?**
- Leading the engineering, design team in completion of design activities for Rigid Overhead Catenary Systems in mainline OCR and Depot Retractable Systems, design activities for AC/DC traction electrification projects for metro projects i.e. design deliverable completion, clarification meetings with client, follow up with external consultants on submissions, vendors.
- Review of design drawings for Overhead catenary components and part lists (for OCR Railway Electrification) taking into account both, the customer specifications and the Siemens’ regulations and standards.
- Review of calculations, Technical Specifications, Layout Plan, Cross Section Drawings, MTO’s, Construction drawings, Method statements, test plans.
- Review of design of SICAT SR, SICAT SRD systems using SICAT MASTER, CAN DROP Tools.
- Work closely with Siemens AG design teams and engineering on the customer requirement, coordinate design verification and submission to customer.
- System Engineering support for the tender / bids, technical evaluation of packages.
- System interface and configuration management with others sub-contractors/sub-units of Siemens.
- Monitor the design change requests, implement action plan for the affected systems until the successful completion.
- Implement Cost value Engineering in the projects, optimizing the solution adhering to specifications and meeting the project timelines.
- Work closely with Project teams, Interfacing, T&C teams including coordination of various System Wide Contractors.
- Support projects round the clock during handover activities.
- Maintain close contact with clients and vendors.

**What do I need to qualify for this role?**
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Has acquired strong foundation with minimum 10+ years experience as an Overhead Catenary engineer in the overhead contact line systems OCR / Depot Retractable OCR systems for MRT projects with all aspects of design, materials, standards.
- Good experience in AC and DC Electrification systems including Control and Protections PLC systems, Interface, integration of AC,DC electrical systems and other Traction equipment.
- Added advantage with knowledge of simulation studies for AC/DC traction power systems.
- Good experience in handling medium to high complexity of solution projects.
- Good experience in Design of SICAT SR, SICAT SCR systems including Siemens modelling tools SICAT MASTER, CAN DROP, review using 3D Modelling tools.
- Team leader with Strong and effective communication at all levels within the Business and in front of new and existing customers.
- Good experience in handling medium to high complexity of solution projects.
- Well verse of Local transportation operators and legal requirement.
- Adaptable to different working environments and customer working terms and conditions.
