**Hydroinformatics Institute **("H2i", company associated Royal HaskoningDHV) is looking to strengthen our modelling team with a a **Junior Modeller (Inland/Urban Flooding/Hydraulics) **to support execution and management of consultancy projects in the field of climate change adaptation planning and urban flooding.

**YOUR ROLE**:

- Implement, calibrate, validate urban flood models with a variety of software (e.g. MIKE 1D, MIKE URBAN, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW etc.)
- Support in preparing technical reports and technical meeting presentation for projects.
- Support in documentation related to consultancy projects and model development.
- Communicate with project managers and team leads to discuss project progress and project related matters on a regular basis. Contribute to technical proposals.

**It will be a good fit if you**:

- Have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Civil/Environmental engineering, Water resources management), or Master’s degree in Numerical modelling
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Have experience in working with urban flood/hydraulics modelling suite software packages
- Are a team-player

**It will be a bonus if you**:

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB)
- Experience in management of consultancy projects
- Experience with QGIS, or other geospatial software Able to communicate and present ideas clearly within and outside of own domain.
