Head of Production

**Head of Production (Manufacturing)
As a HOP, you will be overall responsible for the Manufacturing and/or Production function. You will lead, engage and involve with production team to ensure smooth operation in the following areas to meet business objectives:

- Strategic Leadership
- Manpower, Capacity and Budgetary management
- Production Output, Engineering & Repair Maintenance
- Quality Assurance
- Environmental Health & Safety, Production Policies & Guidelines

**Scope of Duties**

1. Implement and ensure manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising production levels and driving operational excellence.

3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance

4. Responsible for developing the appropriate department organisation structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables

5. Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills.

6. Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.

7. Take ownership of the manufacturing policy, guidelines and any associated documents

8. Plan and execute maintenance activity to ensure plant is kept safe and compliant to regulatory standards.

9. Drive improvements in reliability for key aspects of machinery by completing reliability studies and identifying best planned maintenance strategy.

10. Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures

11. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated, direct and drive new implementation and continuous improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business.

12. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.

13. Proactively work with product line management, engineering, service and other departments to incorporate best practices into the manufacturing environment

14. Report on Manufacturing activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators.

15. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost.

16. Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution

17. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on manufacturing activities

**Qualifications and Experience Levels**
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering/manufacturing discipline or equivalent
- At least 6 years of demonstrated experience in leading manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and systems
- Ability to add value and make business improvements
- Solid Knowledge and technical understanding of relevant components and manufacturing techniques
