As Deputy Director (Clinical Services & Medical Affairs), you will provide strategic leadership for Clinical Services and Medical Affairs (CS&MA), planning and developing the various sections in the department:

- Medical Affairs (MA)
- Clinical Quality (CQ)
- Clinical Planning and Development (CPD)
- Maintenance of Competency (MOC)
- Standards and Policies (S&P)

Your role will be crucial in developing the new Eastern General Hospital. You will ensure that clinical frameworks and guidelines are implemented expeditiously for harmonised practice across the Hospital, complying with relevant clinical, statutory and regulatory requirements, and properly discharging obligations under the Ministry of Health's (MOH) Service Level Agreement. Additionally, you will lead, participate in and contribute actively to Hospital Committees and Workgroups.

Supporting the Chairman, Medical Board, you will supervise the Medical Board Office staff in developing clinical strategies and creating an environment that supports and enables medical professionals to continually achieve clinical excellence through the provision of safe, evidence-based, high-quality care to patients.

**Job requirements**
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), equivalent medical qualifications, or State Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualification in Management, or Degree in Health Science / Hospital Management
- Possession of a Master’s degree in a related field would be an advantage, e.g. Master’s in Public Health, Master’s in Business Administration
- At least 12 years’ total experience in clinical healthcare and healthcare administration
- Sound understanding of Quality Improvement principles, redesign and management
- Well organised, able to handle large volume of information, documents and simultaneous tasks in a systematic manner
- Understanding of biostatistics is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, tact and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management and the public
- Possess high level of integrity and strong sense of responsibility.
- Able to work under pressure, adapt to change and manage challenges
