We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Operations Assistant, SD - Payment Services.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

To support all processes relating to Cheques supporting all LOBs across CMB, GB, WPB and PB. The objective is to deliver efficiencies through simplification, re-engineering, etc for sustainable saves and to be in line with the global standardization concept including compliant and control in the processes

To ensure:

- that productivity is within the AOP set including overall operational efficiency within set targets
- maximization of process efficiency and effectiveness in the team via simplification of processes
- participation in projects and industry meetings
- SLAs are consistently met and service levels are of high standard continuously
- controls and compliances are in place
- accuracy in management reporting
- good team collaborations and engagement

Controls the day-to-day activities of the team so as to ensure the smooth operation of the team which involves Cheque processing (inwards and outwards, COS, foreign currency cheque), issuance of demand drafts / cashiers’ order etc. Also, include managing 3rd party supplier and GSC related to Cheque processes. In addition, to focus on cost efficient delivery via process improvement without comprising compliance and control

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with and relate to and effectively develop a wide range of people
- Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data
- Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends, and the ability to make projections and to interpret numeric information
- Experience in a supervisory role, with exposure to appraisals, counselling, team building, staff development
- Ability to speak and understand English fluently, Write business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills
- Experience in a processing environment
- Production management skills and initiate process improvements
- The ability to create simple MI databases in excel or any other format and maintain performance related information
