[What you will be working on]
**Responsibilities:
- **
- Conduct lessons and review teaching materials for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses.
- Ensure that new/existing teaching curriculum modules are aligned with the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watch-keeping (STCW) Convention and the practices of the maritime industry.
- Collaborate with industry to enhance students’ learning through activities such as industry field trips, student-industry projects, internship programs, and overseas programs.
- Serve as an advisory role to ensure equipment and training facilities are updated and operationally ready for practical training sessions to ensure an authentic learning experience.
- Exercise mentorship and pastoral care to students.
- Participate in Internal and External Quality Maritime Education and Training (QMET) audits.
- Support polytechnic and school events especially in education counselling guidance and outreach.
[What we are looking for]
**Requirements:
- **
- Holder of Deck Officer Class 1 or Class 2 Certificate of Competency issued by MPA or relevant authorities or Master Degree in Maritime Studies.
- At least 4 years of working experience within the maritime industry.
- Passionate about education and possess a strong interest in teaching and mentoring students.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
