Overview

The head of the Computational Immunology group in SIgN oversees the analytical work to support the institute, the Immunomonitoring (IM) Platform as well as the larger research ecosystem. The group facilitates the data management and subsequent data analytics with an aim to provide high quality reproducible and actionable results.

**Responsibilities and duties**:

- Manages a team of postdoctoral fellows and research officers to provide analytical support.
- Analytical support to the institute research groups includes:
a) Data management of research data including ingestion, quality control, storage, analysis and access control.

b) Data analytics of research data to provide high quality analyses.

c) Consultations and training to research staff on analytical techniques and concerns.
- Analytical support to the IM platform includes:
a) Data management of platform generated data including ingestion, quality control, storage, analysis and access control.

b) ISO certification of processes used in support of the platform.

c) Provision of computational analytical services to external parties as part of the service offerings of the platform.

d) Management of the LIMS (Laboratory Inventory Management System) which is part of the IM platform.

e) Participation in grants in support of the analytical and data management needs of the proposals.
- Engagement with collaborations with external collaborators to further immunological research in the local ecosystem.
- Support the institute in information technology issues and concerns.
- Manage computational infrastructure for analytical work as well as provision of computational infrastructure for the institute.
- Provide leadership in terms of analytical methodology and best practices in data management.

**Job Requirements**:

- PhD in life sciences, computer science or related fields.
- Experience with providing analytical support to researchers.
- Experience in managing a team for analytical support.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong interest in analytical methodologies and data management.
