and enhance the design capability for accomplishing the task
- Manage the reputation of the agency and get its work and message out there
- Understand clients’ business, industry and needs at the highest level
- Define and approve strategy and design outcome for pitches

Communication
- Tell a design story in your presentations
- Confident presenter at client meetings and provide solid, strategic rationale

Management skills
- Make important decisions on design and strategy, in reviews and presentations
- Deliver constructive feedback and design critiques, by providing guidance, not orders
- Give direction through objectives, not execution
- Allow people to be themselves and approach a project in their own way, but direct them to the result that you as the lead need them to arrive at
- Find ways to excite the team and client
- Build relationships with clients, to be the one they want to work with
