
Assistant Manager

**What the role is**
- You will be part of the team involved in the development and implementation of the next 5-year plan for the arts sector, as well as driving organisation excellence in NAC. The work ranges from policy development and review, corporate planning, performance management, to secretariat duties. You will play a vital role in facilitating engagement with stakeholders such as cross-departmental teams, MCCY, Board Members, and other external stakeholders, to achieve alignment and smooth implementation of NAC’s work.
**What you will be working on**
- Performance Management
1. Assist the team to track and report progress, including performance and risk indicators and targets as part of the planning and budget cycle
2. Assist with tracking of departments’ work plans
3. Assist with coordination across departments for strategic exercises such as review of indicators and strengthening of internal processes
4. Assist in preparation of reports for management and NAC Board
Corporate Planning
5. Assist with corporate planning events such as management and Board retreats, including logistics and event operations
6. Identify emerging trends, assess implications on the arts landscape in Singapore, to help shape policies and programme interventions
Secretariat Functions
7. Perform secretariat duties for key internal and external meetings including meeting and agenda coordination, meeting logistics, note-taking and following up on documentation (e.g. notes of meeting and matters arising)
8. Liaise with internal stakeholders / departments on meeting materials
Procurement & Admin
9. Assist the team with procurement of goods and services as necessary, including seeking necessary approvals and preparing relevant paperwork
10. Assist the team with payments for goods and services received
**What we are looking for**
- Skills and competencies preferably in business, economics, communications or related fields
- Inquisitive mind, strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Adept at working with numbers and good knowledge of Excel, as well as Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to deliver presentations and facilitate meetings
- Team player who is proactive, independent and reliable to drive projects forward
- Strong relationship management skills
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) would be an advantage
- Experience in managing or running events (of any scale) will be an advantage
