**ExxonMobil in Singapore**

ExxonMobil is one of Singapore’s largest foreign manufacturing investors with over S$25 billion in fixed asset investments.

We have manufacturing facilities that include an integrated world-scale refining and petrochemical complex in Jurong and Jurong Island, a network of service stations under the Esso brand, operate a lubricant plant and are a supplier of cylinder cooking gas. ExxonMobil provides customers and commercial markets in the region with ground transportation, industrial, aviation and marine fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

**What role you will play in our team**

As a Laboratory Chemist, you will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the lubricant plant’s success. You will oversee the stewardship, investigation, and improvement of the lubricant plant’s blend performance. You will also work on introducing and operationalizing new formulations to the lubricant plant and improvement projects that help improve the lubricant plant’s safety, quality, and efficiency. This role will require you to work with a diverse cross-functional team in a matrix organization.

**What you will do**

The key responsibilities for the Laboratory Chemist will be to:

- Actively steward, investigate, and improve the lubricant plant’s blend failure performance
- Lead the introduction and operationalization of new formulations to the lubricant plant
- Initiate, progress, and complete projects that improve the safety, quality, efficiency of the plant
- Liaise with the production team on matters pertaining to product testing and quality control of finished products and raw materials
- Ensure the safe, proper, and efficient utilization of manpower and laboratory facilities in accordance with ExxonMobil standards
- Ensure products manufactured are approved and meet QA (Quality Assurance) requirements
- Provide support to other laboratories within the ExxonMobil network

**About you**

**Skills and Qualifications**
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or in Chemistry
- Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experience in Laboratory operations and QA-related activities as well as familiarity with International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements and guidelines is a plus.
